Flying Styles
3D, Sport & F3C
There are three main types of RC helicopter flying. The OMPHOBBY range covers them all.
3D Flying
M1 V3 PRO · M2 V3 PRO · M4 · M4 MAX · M5 · M6 · M7 · M7R
3D flying is the most extreme form of RC helicopter flying: inverted hovering, tic-tocs, piro-flips, funnels and high-energy smack. It demands huge collective pitch range, instant cyclic response and a tail that never lets go — exactly what every OMPHOBBY 3D helicopter is built for, from the micro M1 V3 PRO to the 700-class M7R.
Sport Flying
Ideal starters: M1 V3 PRO · M2 V3 PRO · M4
Sport flying covers relaxed circuits, forward flight, loops, rolls and stall turns — fun, flowing flying at your local club field. OMP's stable, efficient airframes and long flight times make sport flying easy, and the same heli can grow with you into 3D as your skills develop.
F3C Precision Flying
Larger classes: M5 · M6 · M7 · M7R
F3C is the FAI precision aerobatics class for RC helicopters, where pilots are judged on smooth, accurate hovering and aerobatic manoeuvres. It rewards locked-in stability, smooth power delivery and precise tracking — qualities of OMP's larger 550–700 class helicopters with their rigid airframes, refined rotor heads and SunnySky power.
